Timeline

The Kempf family has owned and operated since 1971. Starting with four trucks, a small dock under a tin roof, and the office in Richard and Judy's kitchen. Over the course of 50 years, three generations have taken ownership. There are two on-site offices, 43 dock doors, 82 tractors, and 156 trailers.

1946


Reinhart Klug, a World War II Veteran, started Veteran’s Truck Line in Kenosha, WI.

1965


John Mcdowell and Roland Procnauer purchased Veteran’s from Klug. The company then became incorporated and moved to Bristol, WI and built the “Tin Shed.” Richard knew John while working at his father’s company.

1971-1996

In 1971, the Kempf Family became the official owners of Veteran's Truck Line, Inc.


During this time there was profound growth that required adding many tractors and trailers to the fleet and multiple phases of construction that included an on-site office, maintenance shop, and an addition to the dock.

1997

The construction began and was finished for the current facility in Burlington, WI.

2018


A large add on to the existing Burlington terminal of a dock extension and a second office was finished.
